The Technion has been selected to lead MATX, one of the innovation accelerators operating under the Israel Innovation Authority’s national initiative to advance Israel’s manufacturing industry.
Led by the Israel Institute of Materials Manufacturing Technologies, MATX is an R&D accelerator for manufacturing companies, with a strong focus on advanced materials and production processes in metals, ceramics, polymers, concrete, and glass.
The accelerator offers end-to-end support—from ideation to product development—along with access to advanced research and manufacturing infrastructure, applied academic knowledge, and strategic collaborations aimed at accelerating innovation and industrial implementation.
With an investment of approximately 5 million NIS, MATX will be operated in collaboration with SHANI SHENHAV LTD, Plastics App, and the CivicLabs Innovation Center, together with leading international partners including ASTM, Fraunhofer IKTS, and Deloitte.
