The vehicle laboratory is testing autonomous vehicles according to TVLP18 procedure
This procedure allows the Israeli DOT to verify whether the autonomous vehicle or components are safe to use on public roads
All the autonomous vehicles approved for travel in Israel by the Ministry of Transport, have been tested by the Technion vehicle laboratory.
The vehicles are given an exceptional permit whereby you do not need to hold the steering wheel during the ride.
